What is Ripleys Room?


Ripleys Room is predominantly a custom facebook accessories store but also has this separate online website (for ready to ship items). Both are filled with cute hand-crafted lovelies whenever possible. From baby-wearing accessories & fine art prints to unique decor for your home and nursery. The designing, creating, shipping, and customer support are all facilitated by the Ripleys Room award winning artist/owner/creator. All items are handmade and are sewn in a clean, pet free, smoke free studio. Products are made with great attention to detail and love.


Do you take custom orders?


We do! We love them! :) Just send on your requirements in a pm to the facebook page and we can work towards creating a work to your desired request! :D Please remember all custom orders are as individual as the person who orders them. Prices and turnaround times are unique for everyone, which means they will both vary depending on the customisation of your product.


I've gotten an invoice how and when should I pay it?


Invoices are sent to the email address you have provided us and are paid through paypal. Payments are due on receipt so please do pay promptly. Any unpaid invoices will be voided after 24 hours and your order will be cancelled automatically. Clients are reminded that there can be no alterations made to your order once the invoice has been sent to you so please do order carefully. Your order will not begin and no custom fabrics can be purchased until full payment has cleared.


Babywearing accessories policy section


Each accessory item is handmade and is therefore unique, like a snowflake. There may be some extremely minor irregularities within the items as they are lovingly handmade. Happily we are not a machine so do not produce factory grade stitching, nor should we. We are really very proud of our products and stand by the quality and craftsmanship. Fabric patterns will vary on items, but we will always endeavour to put a stylish printed area on the front panel. We do not guarantee 'perfect' placement on all items. If you require a very specific fabric placement there will be a surcharge added to your order to offset the fabric wastage incurred.


Are you safety compliant?


We are fully EU,CPSIA/CPSA compliant which means we have tested and continue to test all our products thoroughly for safety and they pass in all grades. We also follow the current recommended guidelines from the European Baby Carrier Standard Alliance (EN13209) with regards appropriate reach strap length, therefore our reach straps do not exceed the maximum 22cm that is suggested.


Where can I view the status of my order?


Updates regarding the status of ordered items are occasionally announced publicly on our facebook page, though this is the exception to the rule. If you need help or have a query with your specific order, you can send us a pm and we will get back to you when possible. Because of the potential high volume of orders, we may not be able to answer general update questions individually (for example, what day production will start, etc --this information will be shared publicly if applicable). Occasionally we post up a "Sneak Peek" picture of current orders on our facebook page album of the same name, though we cannot always guarantee this process for every order.


How long will it take to receive my order?


Custom items are handmade to order therefore a waiting list may apply depending on current demand. Please enquire about this before placing your order.

We do our utmost to post all the READY TO SHIP items out the following day if at all possible, depending on available weekend postal times of course and bank holidays. Once shipped most domestic orders take anywhere from 2 to 15 business days to arrive depending on the efficiency of your local postal service and the complexity of your order. International shipping delivery times may vary between 2 and 12 weeks.

Unfortunately the ready to ship website does not allow us to send an automatic shipping notification but please do contact us if you are concerned about the status of your package.

The Ripleys Room store is not responsible for any customs/duties charges that may incur if importing internationally. All packages will be sent through standard post (except where specified on site.) If you wish for your items to be sent through the tracked registered post option, please inquire with us before placing your order.


What is this store's return policy?


If the delivered item is damaged or is not reflective of your original order, please contact us within 48 hours of receipt. We will then be able to address your concerns personally, and provide you with a returns shipping address if needed.

We can only accept returns if the product is damaged or faulty on our part and we can arrange a return at the expense of Ripleys Room. We will check all items returned to us and if we can not find fault we reserve the right to return the item to you as originally sold at your expense. The purchase cost of a truly damaged item will be refunded to you along with shipping.

Please note: Custom products are final and are not eligible for returns, changes or alterations


*Item exchanges will be considered at the discretion of the store, all shipping charges incurred in the transaction must be covered by the client in this case.


What if I have a complaint?


We would be very sorry to hear that but we do require that you bring the matter to us directly first and that it is not discussed publicly through social media forums. This is as a matter of professional courtesy and of course this will give us the opportunity to address and rectify any concerns you may have. We are pretty nice folk here and we really want to make you a happy customer. If notice is made of public discussion before contacting us, this will void your right to refund.


What about copyrights?


All photos, images, and designs remain the copyright of Ripleys Room and are subject to intellectual property laws.


Copyright Notice: Ripleys Room reserves the right to all images and original compositions and designs. Selling the original work does not remove this right. As such, designs sold may not be reproduced, copied, published or otherwise distributed or displayed publicly without the express consent and written permission of the store.
